was fun. We saw Sponge at the Machine Shop. My ears are still ringing. I think I can attribute most of my hearing loss to those guys over the years. Maybe I should stand more than a foot from the speakers. Somehow I always end up on stage when I see them. I should stand further back from the front row. Oh well, it's a good time and nobody but Steve grabbed my ass this time. Plus I didn't find a guitar pick in my pants this time, lol. Steve didn't find that as amusing as I did.

Definitely a good time though. The guy from Hawks and Snakes is supposed to be sending me a cd, I haven't heard from him yet though. I think I'll email him if I don't hear from him by tomorrow. They were good. I wasn't impressed with the other two opening bands though. That and because of the 3 opening acts Sponge played the shortest set I've ever heard them do. It was cool to hear some of the new album live though.

And for those who were wondering I did get my new phone last week. Too bad my entire goddamn address book is somewhere is the Zilwaukee water treatment plant now.

So what the hell does this mean?

I had this weird ass dream last night. I was in a swimming pool treading water and had a weight tied to my ankle. All these people I knew were standing around the pool but nobody noticed I was almost drowning. I'm sure there's a meaning there but I'm just too lazy to find out what.

I woke up before anything else happened. Well I was woken up. Mallory decided she simply had to eat at 1 AM. Got her back to bed at 1:30, tossed and turned until 2:30 and was woken up by Steve at 3:30, Mallory again at 4:15, Steve going to work at 5 and a power outage, and Jacob at 6, 7, and 8. So I kind of slept from midnight until 8 AM I guess. No wonder I'm so tired lately.

All three of them are lucky they're cute and I love them, I swear.

I created this hoping I could take up writing again but then realized I have nothing interesting to write about. My life is getting rather dull these days.

Detroit last Friday was awesome though. We went to the Wings game (8th row!) and they lost. Steve was geeked. For $35 he walked out of Streetcorner Music with a full box of CDs. For another $10 he got like 5 more at Flipside. We ate at Fishbone's. It was so nice to eat somewhere with no kids menu. If you ever go try the alligator. It is scrumptious. And be forewarned if you order your food blackened you will be breathing fire for at least a few hours. Jack and cokes put it out nicely though ;). We went to the casino before and after the game too. Whoever decided to put video poker in bars was a fucking genius. At one point we were sitting at the bar that has a stage behind it and some funk band started playing "Jungle Boogie". I kept waiting for something pulp fiction-like to happen. It didn't. I guess that was a good thing.

I'm easily amused too. We were driving down 14 mile and I looked over at a stop light and saw one tow truck towing another one. So of course I whipped out my trusty camera phone and started snapping away.

We also saw a kind of greasy looking long haired guy sitting in the car next to us. It was either Kid Rock or just a random dude who needed to shower. They pretty much look alike anyway. For whatever reason we were laughing on and off about this for hours.

The kids were happy to see us and Mallory didn't keep my mom up all night which was good. We stopped and got them Easter gifts on the way home. How did a holiday supposedly about Jesus rising from the dead turn into something about a giant bunny who poops out eggs and an excuse to eat ham?

This weekend we embark on fence construction. We got a couple sections in last weekend. Funny this is the first non-barbed wire fence I've ever built.

We picked up Jacob's t-ball mit too. I'm still wondering why we're giving him a bat but I just hope he has fun.
